This is an investment of $ 53 million for a wholesale fruit market located in Sardinal de Carrillo (Guanacaste).
Work started six weeks ago starting in three work fronts: upper warehouse for refrigeration facilities, lower warehouse, administrative building and annex buildings.
This market will allow Guanacaste to have supplies, distribution and commercialization of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and seafood.
It will benefit 400 thousand inhabitants and offer options to 17,500 producers from the 11 Guanacaste cantons, Upala and the Puntarenas communities of the Nicoya Peninsula.
"The Chorotega Regional Market will allow Guanacaste to supply, distribute and market fruits, vegetables, meat, fish and seafood. It has been a commitment that we have assumed with responsibility and work, to continue strengthening the conditions that have allowed to generate work and achieve - for the good of the families - the highest rates of poverty reduction that this province has had, "said the President. Luis Guillermo Solís Rivera.
